SPACE - S0 - 20200102 - Recurrent Nova, CME Nostalgia, Climate Forcing

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar wind speeds stayed up yesterday, topping out above 350 KPS before dipping overnight to around 300 KPS before coming back up a bit to the 320-340 KPS range. The KP Index was in the KP-0 to KP-1 range again. The South Polar coronal hole expanded up toward the North a bit and an equatorial hole developed right at the meridian, so we'll hopefully see a slight boost in wind speeds. The sunspot from yesterday has still not developed visible prominences but it is still days away from the midpoint. A few Mag 5+ quakes yesterday, but most of them were in the ocean, with the exception being a Mag 5.2 in Iran not far from the Afghanistan border.
