SPACE - S0 - 20200104 - 'Dwarf Novae', Fire and Ice, Unprecedented Magnetic Effects

Good Morning, 0bservers!

The solar wind speed continued upward yesterday and peaked at 420 KPS, and has fluctuated around that range since Midnight UTC (current speed is 390 KPS). In the last hour, however, the particle density has taken a pretty steep dive. The KP Index spiked at KP-3 during yesterday morning's report, but has stayed in the KP-1 to KP-2 range ever since (still well in the green range). The electron level has continued to show a lot of downward spikes as well since yesterday. Coronal holes have been appearing and disappearing, but a new grouping seems to be coalescing right along the equator as it develops close to the meridian. The sunspot group is showing some gorgeous prominences, especially at 131Å, but still no CMEs as it approaches the midpoint. That said, the magnetic grouping seems to have evaporated, putting it back in the alpha class of complexity, but it can still "pop" at any time.  Mostly blot echo activity in the lithosphere yesterday.
