SPACE - S0 - 20200125 - Big Quake, Exoplanets, Dwarf Nova, Plasma Switchback
Good Morning, 0bservers!
Solar wind speeds have dipped further, currently hovering around 290 KPS. While the KP Index stayed in the KP-0 to KP-1 range yesterday, there was a KP-2 spike a few hours ago, around the time of a brief increase in wind speed, but it has lowered yet again. A very small coronal hole appeared at 0° by 0° (direct midpoint) and then disappeared soon after. The new bright spots were 2/3rds lacking in any Rice Krispie-ness (no snaps or pops, but a bit of crackle). The lithosphere gave us a Mag 5.5 in the border region of Xizang and Qinghai (is that in New Jersey?), with a Mag 5.3 off Nicaragua, but then a shallow Mag 6.7 in Turkey. There are deaths and injuries.

The finale in the Plasma Climate Forcing series...
Enjoy!
