SPACE - S0 - 20201204 - More Nova Isotope Mysteries on Earth, Alaska Supervolcano

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar wind speeds slowed a bit more yesterday, riding the 350 KPS line for most of Thursday, but there was a 100 KPS up-and-down jump just before midnight UTC. That seems to have calmed in the past few hours, and it's now in the 320-370 KPS range. Temps and Density were about the same but the DISCOVR platform had yet another data dropout for about three hours last night. The KP-Index was mostly flat and mostly on the deck yesterday, with KP-0 readings predominating until a lone KP-1, followed by a lone KP-2, in the early afternoon. After that, we went right back to KP-0. Hopefully that upcoming coronal hole breeze mentioned in yesterday's video will blow away the cosmic rays. Proton and Electron Flux readings are mostly nominal. The Magnetometer readings don't have their usual pattern, though, and yesterday's crest was narrow. The X-Ray Flux has moved its baseline down to mid-Class B flare range, but we did have a short Class C flare straight up at midnight UTC.
