Good Morning, 0bservers!
We're seeing a lot of up-and-down variability on the DISCOVR charts this morning, so the solar wind readings are a bit scribbly today. The overall variability was around 100 KPS, riding between 350-450 KPS, but in the past couple of hours we've seen the readings stabilize to around 320 KPS. Temperature also trended down, but Particle Density appears to be on the rise. The KP-Index is quite low, and it triggered a Zero Day Alert yesterday. We've only had two KP-1 readings in 36 hours (one just before midnight UTC, the other at 0600 UTC) so unless/until we get that coronal hole stream expect more of this and keep an eye on your health. Remember, the effects of a Zero Day event will continue for 24 hours after the readings rise off the deck. Proton and Electron Flux readings are nominal, but the GOES Magnetometer readings are unusually flat after yesterday's odd readings. X-Ray Flux carried a baseline/background level of mid-B Class, but as usual we had another flare spike into lower-C Class.
