SPACE - S0 - 20201224 - Crazy Beast, X-Ray Nova, Ancient Tsunami, Lump of Coal

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar winds slowed a bit yesterday, from a high of 650 KPS to a low of 500 KPS in mid-evening, building back up to the 560-590 KPS range. Temperature and Particle Density stayed pretty much steady, and the Phi Angle finally began to stabilize. The Proton Flux remains nominal, but we saw a bulge in the Electron Flux chart, the first for many a day, but it did start to decline and it never came close to the warning threshold. The Magnetometer readings have further stabilized from the Monday/Tuesday charts. The KP-Index also went down a bit yesterday after the post-midnight KP-4 reading, staying in the green all day and night. The X-Ray Flux chart showed a number of moderate flares in the higher Class B range overnight. The sunspot group in the Southwest quadrant is developing a leading-edge coronal hole as it approaches the midpoint.
