SPACE - S0 - 20201225 - Electricity of Solar Wind Magnetic Reversal, Whale Event, Wind Storm

Looks like much of that coronal hole stream has waned, with solar wind speeds currently hovering around 500 KPS after yesterday's midday high of around 585 KPS. Particle Density and Temperature are also slightly lower. Proton Flux levels are nominal, but we did get an alert yesterday as the Electron Flux breached the warning threshold. It dipped below that level around midnight UTC, but it does appear to be back on the rise. The KP-Index remained in the green all day, with mostly KP-3 and KP-2 readings. The X-Ray Flux readings are better than yesterday's, but we are seeing some spikes in the lower third of the Class B flare range right now. That small coronal hole that developed the other day is approaching the midpoint, should cross it later tonight/early tomorrow. You can see a lot of sparking and surging from the trailing sunspot groups in the video loops.
