SPACE - S0 - 20201218 - Runaway Atmospheric Shift, Record Filament, HeartMan on Mars

Good Morning, 0bservers!

Solar winds remained very calm, in the 260-290 KPS range all of yesterday and overnight. However, after checking the readings around 0300, I checked again at 05:30 and the damn chart had completely changed. It showed a new data dropout that wasn't there just a couple hours before. There was a small rise in Particle Density as well as Temperature after midnight, but they don't seem to be the vanguard of a coronal hole stream (not yet, anyway).  The KP-Index was almost a solid line of KP-0s throughout the day yesterday, with a single KP-1 just before midnight UTC (and dropping right back down afterward). That puts us in a Cosmic Ray Health Advisory, folks. The X-Ray Flux chart is showing no flare or spike activity for the past 30 hours. Furthermore, the background level of activity has further lowered to the middle of the Class A flare range. The Northern coronal hole system has grown and consolidated. A smaller tendril from the polar region has already passed the midpoint, but the main hole is approaching. That one, I think we'll feel.
